Just gorgeous Lori. Such an evocative, potent image. Reminds me of the Black Stallion.
Thank you. Syren is sure a whole lot different than old Albert.
Syren is beautiful
I wait to see
where you will find destiny
and whether the black mare
is yours
forever
Beautiful!
This is beautiful, an absolutely stunning image. I love it. I feel as if I am the one riding the stallion. Gosh you are very talented.
Thank you everyone for your kind words about this image. Since Syren will probably make more appearances, I just want to establish that Syren is a mare and she is gray (blue roan I believe is what they call them: see http://www.amha.org/registration/images/blue-roan.jpg for what I had in mind. Sweet Albert may make an appearance here and there but Syren, I think, will be my chief mode of transportation in Lemuria.
Lovely, Lori. Amazing how we keep coming up with images of “women who ride away.” One that I treasure is a postcard showing a photo of a young Georgia O’Keeffe on the back of a motorcycle being driven by a handsome young man. O’Keeffe is looking back over her shoulder at the camera, smiling, sun-browned. The caption is “Women Who Rode Away.” Adventure beckons…
