Lost in Reverie
by Heather Blakey
I am the
Ferry Woman
Ferrying those
who
want to journey
the interior regions
of the psyche
I am the
Ferry Woman
I listen
Hear
See
Comfort
Support
Pass no judgement
I am
the Ferrywoman
who need
say little
For ultimately
each voyager
each heroine
must experience
their own journey .
I am simply
a companion
One who has been
one who knows the way.

And I am the one who wants to be ferried into the deepest, darkest reaches of the psyche. Thanks for being such a wonderful companion and giving me the opportunity to delve so far down without the fear of drowning.
This is beautiful, now I’m here, tell me, do I write about a relative who has passed on?
Terry.
Heather,
This is amazing, what a task you’ve taken on…I’ve been checking this blog when I have a moment just to see what people have posted or commented on.
The writing and artwork it’s inpsiring is one of a kind.

Heather, priceless and precious.
You have an amazing gift of capturing the soul of the subjects of your drawings. I can see their personalities in their faces and poses. Wonderful.
lovely, your drawing are absolutely perfect to the poem, love it!
A sincere thank you. The Ferry Women series has become very special to me and this particular image is my favourite. The poem appeared after talking to Monika, after completing the drawing.
Hopefully we will see lots of pieces about the Duwmaish Ferry Woman.
